LARGEMOUTH BASS

Largemouth bass are the dominant species in Falls Lake. Average size is 15 inches and average weight is 2 ½ - 3 lbs. A 16 inch slot limit and an excellent "Catch and release" participation have helped turn this lake into a true, trophy largemouth bass fishery. Double-digit fish are not uncommon.

THE BAIT

Gizzard shad are the primary natural forage fish here. Outdoor Expeditions offers trips using artificial baits / lures exclusively when fishing for largemouth. Lures are provided for use during the trip if needed. Lure selection and techniques vary according to conditions and season.
